(BSc) Honours degree is awarded by a University following
completion of 3 years study at undergraduate level and
is a natural progression for students who have attained
the DipHE in Clinical Hipnosis and wish to gain a higher
qualification.
A degree is a recognised
benchmark of academic attainment. This is the only undergraduate
degree programme of its type in Clinical Hypnosis in the
UK. The course provides you with a detailed scientific
understanding of the principles and practices of Clinical
Hypnosis which are developed through a culmination of
research, practical experience and continued exploration
of current therapeutic approaches.
A minimum requirement
to apply for the third year to gain the (BSc) Honours
degree in Clinical Hypnosis is that students have successfully
gained the DipHE. Current practising hypnotherapist's
who can demonstrate the appropriate prior learning or
experience and wish to apply to update their training
with a recognised university qualification, may be eligible
to take a fast track route and be directly accepted onto
the second year of the (BSc) Honours degree programme.

Certificate Course in Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis
Level 3
INTRODUCTION
TO THE ADVANCED CLINICAL HYPNOSIS COURSE
The BST Foundation
would like to introduce its specialist-training programme
in advanced clinical hypnotherapy. It has been specifically
designed to give qualified hypnotherapists an opportunity
to develop their clinical skills to a highly advanced
level.
This course will provide delegates with modern adaptable
theory and state of the art hypnotherapeutic skills, which
have been developed through a culmination of research,
practical experience and continued exploration of new
and exciting hypnotherapeutic approaches from a worldwide
source.
The training programme provides you with skills that go
far beyond basic practitioner training in clinical hypnosis
and is essential for all those wishing to maximise their
therapeutic effectiveness in the field of hypnotherapy.
SYLLABUS
The course explores
many advanced therapeutic skills, including rapid assessment
and profiling of symptoms, accessing and re-synthesis
techniques based on the work of Ernest Rossi to facilitate
psychological balance (homeostasis), paradoxical strategies
and Ericksonian behavioural prescriptions. A major theme
of this course will also be the effective utilisation
of clients and patients symptoms in particular the specialised
techniques of Inclusive Therapy and Milton Erickson. The
course will cover new eye movement therapies that have
also gained worldwide recognition for the highly effective
treatment of trauma and phobias. New dissociative techniques
based on quantum physics and chaos theory will also be
explored.
In addition, the syllabus will cover the treatment of
psychological problems, which are traditionally classified
as complex. The training format will also provide delegates
with an exciting new understanding of memory and mind
body functioning with regard to hypnotic states and the
development of problems.
ASSESSMENT
& QUALIFICATION
Students will be continually assessed and given credits
throughout the course for skills and knowledge acquired.
Successful delegates will be awarded the Advanced Practitioners
Certificate in Clinical & Strategic Hypnosis, designated
letters: A.Cert.CSHyp by the BST Foundation. There will
be no formal examination requirement at the end of the
course.
On successful completion of the advanced practitioners
certificate, delegates can enhance their professional
status and qualify for specialist member of the Association
of Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis. This level of training
will become the prestigious benchmark for all of those
interested in becoming student supervisors for the BST
Foundation.
