New Career Opportunities
Due to the highly vocational nature of the clinical
hypnosis course, successful students will have the
opportunity to set up private practice as clinical
hypnotherapists. With the ever increasing demand from the
general public for effective psychological treatment there
is a growing need for skilled and ethically trained
hypnotherapists.
Eligible hypnotherapists can also gain referrals from
healthcare professionals and in addition private health care
providers may be willing to cover the cost of such
treatment. Some students may find new career opportunities
within established healthcare clinics and qualified
individuals on a voluntary and professional basis within the
NHS. Other successful students choose to implement these
profound hypnotic skills within their existing profession.
"The BST Foundation's clinical hypnotherapy
training programme has been mapped to the Skills for Health
(SfH) National Occupational Standards (NOS)for hypnptherapy.
SfH is the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the UK health
sector. The 25 Sector Skills Councils which make up the
Skills for Business Network are licensed by the Secretary of
State for Education and Skills in consultation with
Ministers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Sector
Skills Councils are supported and monitored by the Sector
Skills Development Agency."
