Application
Information
Whether you are
choosing to pursue a new career, or wishing to broaden
your existing skills and knowledge in hypnosis, hypnotherapy
or brief therapy, this London course application page
will give you the information needed to take your studies
further. Our current training venue for courses in clinical
hypnosis in London is the London School of Hygiene and
Medicine in central London.
All teaching
takes place in central London on interspersed Saturdays.
We have found this interspersed approach to training to
be one of the most effective ways to enhance the process
of learning practical approaches, giving students time
and the opportunity to develop client centred skills and
theoretical knowledge. In addition also allowing students
from all over the UK to attend the course. This is also
beneficial for individuals who have other professional
commitments or are already employed.
The (CertHE)
in Clinical Hypnosis is held over 1 academic year &
(DipHE) Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis is held
over 2 years. The BSc (Hons.) in Clinical Hypnosis builds
upon the DipHE in Clinical Hypnosis with one further academic
year of study at university. Therefore, in its entirety,
it is three year part time programme providing students
with unique, recognised academic qualification in Clinical
Hypnosis upon completion of each year.
News
Regarding Student Funding from April 2012.
Students accepted onto the BSc Clinical Hypnosis programme can apply for a
student loan to cover the full amount of the tuition fee each academic year from April 2012. As
a unique collaborative programme we are able to keep the fees substanical lower
than other programmes who have increased their fees to around £8000 a year due
to government funding being removed from higher education. It is our policy to
provide all students with affordable high quality training on our BSc (Hons.) in
Clinical Hypnosis. We therefore would also like to inform you that any
course fee increase will be limited and not subject to the same
standard increase across all universities.
A student loan is a loan subsidised by the Government to allow you to study without having to pay the course fees up front. The interest rate is low, usually around 3% and you do not have to start paying the loan back until you earn more than £21k a year.
You can apply for the loan as soon as you have been accepted on to the course. Tuition fee loans are paid directly to the university.
To make sure you receive the loan before the start of term they advise applying for the loan by the 31 May 2012. Applications after this date are still accepted.

This is the
only university awarded undergraduate degree programme
in Clinical Hypnosis in the UK. The course provides you
with a scientific understanding of the principles and
practices of Clinical Hypnosis which have been developed
through a culmination of research, practical experience
and continued exploration of current therapeutic approaches.
Each academic year has 2 semesters broken down into 4
modules. Making 12 modules in total for all 3 levels over
3 years. Each module completed is worth 30 university
credits.
As students come from a variety of
professional backgrounds and experiences, we are delighted
to offer students the initial option to register for one
semester covering the first two modules to begin with,
to assess their suitability and acquire a basic feel for
the course. Please contact the foundation for further
information. Students can then choose to continue with
their studies and undertake the next 2 modules in the
following semester to complete the (CertHE) in Clinical
Hypnosis. This allows students a concise and practical
introduction to clinical hypnosis before making an informed
decision to continue with their studies to complete the
full (CertHE) in Clinical Hypnosis. Students who choose
this introductory option will be requested to pay only
50% of the current yearly course fee and will receive
a certificate of attendance and will be awarded 60 university
credits on completion of the first two modules. University
credits can then be transferred to any additional undergraduate
university programme of interest. This particularly allows
students to have a break for personal circumstances if
required and still retain the accumulated credits.
This flexible
option may also be of benefit for students who wish to
study Clinical Hypnosis in a scientific, theoretical and
practical way without the need for full training in clinical
practice. Students can also use this system to explore
whether undertaking the full DipHE in Clinical Hypnosis
in order to become a fully qualified practitioner in Clinical
Hypnosis is right for them.
Standard University
fees apply, please see application form for fees and dates. Fees can be paid in full at the beginning of the
academic year or can be paid in instalments. Students
wishing to enrol should send their completed application
form to the BST Foundation head office, along with a 20
% deposit of the current course fee, which will reserve
a provisional place pending possible interview. This initial
payment will be fully refunded if individuals do not meet
the selection requirements. The balance for course fees
should be received fourteen days prior to the commencement
of study, although flexible payment plans are available
on request. If you would like to pay the full course fee
by credit card please call the Foundation and complete
the application form, which must also be returned to the
Foundation. Please click on the links below for an application
